After recent narco-trafficking violence took the lives of two Americans on the border with Mexico, and news that Alvaro Uribe will not stand for re-election in Colombia, many are concerned whether 21st Century socialists and narco-terrorists will become the dominant force in Latin America. Speakers will address the following: What economic and political factors can stop the confluence of Chavismo and narco-trafficking in Latin America? What are the remaining security and defense challenges your country will have to face?
