Giancarlo Ibargüen Freedom Award 2016
Giancarlo Ibárgüen receives the Giancarlo Ibárgüen Freedom Award during the Latin America Liberty Forum organized in Guatemala by the Atlas Network and the Francisco Marroquín University.
The Board of Directors our collaborators of HACER are honored to announce the Giancarlo Ibárgüen Freedom Award. This prize was designed to incentivize work that promotes personal liberty in a way that is consistent with human dignity.
The prize is named after one of the greatest businessmen and promoters of the principles of liberty who has ever existed. During his time at the Francisco Marroquín University as well as through his contributions to the Liberty Fund, the Mont Pelerin Society, and many other organizations, Giancarlo Ibárgüen has exhibited an unparalleled generosity and an accepting spirit. His openness toward innovation, his penchant for discovery, and his tireless, always optimistic work in the face of many a challenge (in his personal life as much as in his commitment to his work and his country) have made Ibárgüen a role model for our generation and for generations to come.
The 2016 Giancarlo Ibárgüen Freedom Award was given to Don Giancarlo Ibárgüen at the first Latin America Liberty Forum organized by Atlas Network and the Francisco Marroquín University. The leaders of both organizations would like to join us in congratulating all the people who have worked so hard to make these efforts possible. We are especially thankful for the support of one generous donor, whose admiration for Giancarlo Ibárgüen’s career was instrumental in allowing us to honor him.
