Freedom Fest 2014
We’d like to let you know about one of the most exciting development in the freedom movement in thirty years: FreedomFest, “the world’s largest gathering of free minds.” Nathaniel Branden said it best: “I feel an electricity here I haven’t felt in years.”
FreedomFest has been called many things: A live Wikipedia for libertarians…a Renaissance weekend for free thinkers…the Trade Show for Liberty ….and the Disneyland of the mind. The Washington Post calls it simply “the greatest libertarian show in earth.”
FreedomFest drew 2,500 people last year, and is expected to attract over 3,000 next July 9-12, 2014, at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
And if you register using the code FF14HACER, you can support HACER at the same time.
What’s FreedomFest about? EVERYTHING. It’s an intellectual feast in the entertainment capital of the world, a phenomenal three days of insightful and dynamic sessions on everything from politics to economics, finance to health, education to the arts, history, philosophy and so much more.
Robert Poole, Jr., co-founder of Reason magazine, calls FreedomFest “the most intense, rewarding, intellectual, create-your-own 3 day conference I’ve ever attended.”
Since 2001, the best and brightest of the liberty-movement have gathered together in Las Vegas (the world’s most libertarian city) every year in July.
It’s an amazing atmosphere, where speakers, attendees, and sponsors all mingle, learning from each other and discussing the important issues that threaten our liberty. And it’s a big tent. FreedomFest rejects the political labels that push people into boxes and stymies progress and discussion. We welcome all perspectives in a free and open debate of the issues.
Would you like to join this once-in-a-lifetime experience and support HACER at the same time?

This past year for the first time John Stossel taped his Fox Business show at FreedomFest, using their theme “Are We Rome?” Fox News aired his FreedomFest show five times! Stossel and Fox News intend to return this year.
FreedomFest has two co-ambassadors, Steve Forbes and John Mackey (co-CEO, Whole Foods Markets). They plan on attending all three days in July. Other regulars include Steve Moore (Wall Street Journal), Sen. Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, John Allison and David Boaz (Cato Institute), Nick Gillespie (Reason), Grover Norquist (Americans for Tax Reform), Dinesh d’Souza, Doug Casey, Charles Murray, Lawrence Reed (Foundation for Economic Education) and too many more to name. FreedomFest attracts over 100 speakers and exhibits every year.
Not only will you have a chance to attend sessions given by these folks, you’ll also sit with them as they attend sessions themselves. They don’t hide out in a speakers lounge. You’ll meet them in the halls and in our popular Exhibit Hall – a place buzzing with excitement and bubbling with ideas.
Think tanks and non-profit groups from across the political spectrum come to FreedomFest each year. Walking into the exhibit hall is like one-stop shopping for liberty. John Mackey calls it “The Trade Show for Liberty.”
FreedomFest promises to be bigger and better than ever this year, with a dynamite theme “Is Big Brother Here?” Have we arrived at the Orwellian 1984? Is the police state here? What is left of our privacy and our freedoms? See our award-winning 2 ½ minute video here:
Is Big Brother Here? – Presented by FreedomFest from Smooky on Vimeo.
This year FreedomFest has an exciting line-up of new speakers, including libertarian humorist P. J. O’Rourke, historian H. W. Brands, science fiction author and futurist David Brin, and economics professor extraordinaire Ken Elzinga, plus many more to be announced shortly.
FreedomFest is also planning a Big Four panel, “Can Think Tanks Make a Difference?” with the presidents of the four most influential libertarian think tanks in the world: Reason (David Nott), Cato (John Allison), Americans for Tax Reform (Grover Norquist), and London-based Institute for Economic Affairs (Mark Littlewood).
The producers of FreedomFest, Mark Skousen and Tami Holland, also planning sessions on the anniversary of World War I, current geo-politics, economics, investing, health and healthcare, history and philosophy, science and technology, literature, music and the arts.
And don’t forget the Anthem Film Festival, the world’s only libertarian film festival, presented each year along with FreedomFest. Three days of short and full length documentaries and narrative films with libertarian themes. Last year practically every film was SRO. www.anthemfilmfestival.com
You’ll leave FreedomFest energized, enthused, inspired, armed with a network of new colleagues and allies, and filled with new ideas and actionable information from the movers and shakers in the liberty movement. As reporter Terry Brock put it, “It really was a WOW experience for those in attendance. I heard that from many attendees.”
Plus, if you register for FreedomFest today, you have the opportunity to support HACER! Use the code FF14HACER when you register, and HACER will receive a 12% contribution from the registration price.
Maybe Steve Forbes says it best: “I changed my schedule to attend all 3 days. FreedomFest is where the best ideas and strategies are fleshed out. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Make your plans now to attend FreedomFest, July 9-12, 2014, at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Register before March 15, 2014 and receive the Early Bird discount ($100 off). And use the code FF14HACER, and HACER will receive a 12% contribution from the registration price.
